April - I Love You Lord - First DRAFT
I Love You Lord, Laurie Klein April 1980 I’m starting off this month with a draft of I Love You Lord , written by Laurie Klein, when she was with the Maranatha Singers in 1980. I think every worship leader at one time or another has played this song. It still draws people to the throne of God. So simple. My general idea is to turn this into a soaking song. One that will take the listener to a place at the feet of Jesus.... for a good soaking in the love of God. This draft was almost a ‘one take’ just to get my first thoughts down. I have a few ideas of what I want to do with this all time christian classic. I still have a lot of work to do on the vocals and syncing things up tighter. So hang i there! There just may be some surprises coming in the final draft. Wait for it. I Love You Lord .
